Frequently Asked Questions - Part I

Turnaround time?

 IME reports within 2–3 weeks of examination.

 Life care plans within 4–6 weeks of examination. 

 Rush services available. 

Plaintiff or defense?

Dr. Avraham accepts cases for both. Each case is evaluated on its merits; opinions are based solely on medical evidence. 

Geographic areas?

Licensed in MA, RI, and VT; available nationwide. Examinations conducted in Plymouth, MA, or at a location convenient to the examinee. 

What's in a life care plan?

Analysis of all future medical needs — physician care, surgery, diagnostics, medications, therapies, durable medical equipment, prosthetics, orthotics, home and vehicle modifications, attendant care, and case management — each supported by structured, evidence-based approach with detailed cost projections. 

Frequently Asked Questions - Part II

How do I retain Dr. Avraham?

Contact by email or phone. Initial case discussion typically completed within 48 hours. A retainer agreement will follow. 

Cancellation policy?

IME and life care plan interview and examination appointments require 48 hours notice; $650 fee for no-shows or late cancellations. 


For depositions and court testimony: 30+ days advance = 50% refund; 21–29 days = 25% refund; under 21 days = non-refundable. 

Credentials?

Double board-certified by ABPMR (Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation) and ABPM (Pain Medicine). Certified Life Care Planner (ICHCC). Board-certified Independent Medical Examiner (ABIME). 

Active clinical practice?

Yes — outpatient physiatry and pain medicine clinic and skilled nursing facility consulting, ensuring current, real-world expertise informs all expert work.

Personal Injury

Motor vehicle collisions, slip and fall, catastrophic injuries, chronic pain and CRPS, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury.  

Workers' compensation

Work-related injuries, disability determinations and causation analysis. 

Medical malpractice

Surgical complications, delayed diagnosis, medication errors, rehabilitation and physical therapy negligence, standard of care violations. 

Disability claims

Disability file reviews, record review and report preparation.

Conflict check and availability confirmed within 24–48 hours.
